Colorado comes from the Spanish word “colored red”. Colorado was visited by the Spanish in the 1500’s. However, even before the Spanish arrived, the Natives inhabited this land. With it’s breathtaking scenery and Rocky Mountain peaks reaching over 10,000 feet, it’s no wonder this state is a top vacation destination.
